You won’t find a gallery of Sikh brides in Australia here, on purpose. Women on Rishta decide who can find them, and their photos appear only after they approve someone. That is why they are here, and why a reply here means something.
Open in Australia today. Everyone checks their ID before going live.

A person read every profile here before it went live. Photos stay private until one of you accepts the other’s interest, and then you see each other’s. Your phone and email are never shown to anyone. Photos appear when she approves your request. Every interest you send carries a note you wrote, so make it count. Her contact details are never shown; she shares them if she wants to.
Australia is home to about 210,000 Sikhs (0.8% of the population) and around 239,000 Punjabi speakers, about 107,000 more than at the census five years earlier, which makes Punjabi the most spoken Indian language in the country.
Victoria has the largest Sikh community, followed by New South Wales and Queensland.
For Sikh families the questions are specific: does he keep kesh, is she amritdhari, which gurdwara, how observant, and will the Anand Karaj be done properly. Rishta asks the ones it can in the profile, kesh and turban and how practising someone is, so nobody has to ask them awkwardly later, and religion, community, diet and mother tongue can be must-haves, so the people you see already fit. Community (Jat, Khatri, Arora, Ramgarhia, Saini, Ravidasia and the rest) is there for those who want it and “caste no bar” for those who don’t.
Built in, not promised

A note from the founder
I spent six months on a paid plan on the biggest matrimonial site in the world, searching honestly for someone to marry from here. I found roughly ten men for every woman, a paid plan that produced nothing, and a fake profile I could make in minutes.
Rishta is what I wished had existed: women free with nothing held back, photos hidden until she says yes, every profile ID-checked before it goes live, every interest written by hand, no phone numbers on the page, and a matchmaker who is never from your own town. I built it because I am looking too.
