Fifty-one women matching an ordinary search in all of Australia. Eight in all of New Zealand. That is the biggest site there is, and no membership fixes it — which is why we started here instead.

A person read every profile here before it went live. Photos stay private until one of you accepts the other’s interest, and then you see each other’s. Your phone and email are never shown to anyone. Photos appear when she approves your request. Every interest you send carries a note you wrote, so make it count. Her contact details are never shown; she shares them if she wants to.
*Roughly ten men per woman in the founder’s own searches on Shaadi.com, Australia & New Zealand, 2026. †Sikh population of Australia, ABS Census 2021: about 112,000 men and 97,000 women.
The problem
It is not you. The census says our community is almost evenly split. The platforms show ten men for every woman because they built something women refuse to use.
On the big sites an interest is a tap, and paid members send them by the hundred. The woman you wrote to may have stopped opening the app long before yours arrived.
Our founder made a working fake profile on the biggest site in minutes. When anyone can do that, the real women learn to assume you might not be real either.
Matchmaking on the big sites is a premium extra, sold separately. On the site itself there is no one to make your case, ask what she is actually looking for, or tell you honestly why it is a no.
What is different for you
Every interest carries a note you wrote, sent to women who chose to be found by you, who know a person read your profile before it went live. Fewer messages sent. Far more answered.

A note from the founder
I spent six months on a paid plan on the biggest matrimonial site in the world, searching honestly for someone to marry from here. I found roughly ten men for every woman, a paid plan that produced nothing, and a fake profile I could make in minutes.
Rishta is what I wished had existed: women free with nothing held back, photos hidden until she says yes, every profile ID-checked before it goes live, every interest written by hand, no phone numbers on the page, and a matchmaker who is never from your own town. I built it because I am looking too.

What we ask of you
01
A code to your mobile, then your passport or licence and a selfie. About two minutes, and then you are live.
02
In your profile, and to your matchmaker if you have one. Your age comes from your ID, a person looks over every profile, and a family will find out anyway.
03
Replies come at the pace women say yes, not on demand. Five good interests a week beat fifty ignored ones, and early on a city may be small. Every reply will be a real one.
Men join with Search, $39 a month or $99 for 3 months: your profile, a mobile code, payment, then your ID check, and you are live.
