You are welcome here, and you have a real role. There is one rule, and we would rather say it now than later: the profile is for the person getting married, and it is only ever made with their agreement. Set it up together, or let them join themselves.

Involved, the way it has always worked.

A vichola never worked alone; she worked with the families. We built the same thing in, with one difference: your daughter or son decides how much of it they want.

Gift a membership
For a son, you can pay for Search or Vichola (your personal matchmaker) outright. For a daughter there is nothing to pay: women are free, permanently.
Family View
A read-only page your daughter or son can send you on WhatsApp. You need no account and no app to open it. It shows their profile as they wrote it, never a phone number or email, and their photo only if they chose to include it.
Read it properly, not as a screenshot
Instead of forwarded screenshots you get the whole profile on one page, which matters when you are reading it from India or Fiji, at the other end of the day.
Talk to the matchmaker
With their consent, their matchmaker will happily speak to you. Many parents find this is the part they were missing.

No profile without them.

Not because we doubt your intentions. Because it is their marriage, because a profile made without them is the first thing a good match will notice, and because their name and photos are theirs to share. Set it up together, or send them this page.

    They can send you their Family View link, you can pay for a son’s membership, and you can be as involved as they would like.

Questions families ask us

Can I make the profile for them?
Yes, with your email and mobile. But it stays hidden until they check their own ID, from a link we send them: that shows the profile is really them, and that they agree. It is their marriage, and their name and photos are theirs to share. If they did not agree, they can say so from the link, and the profile never goes live.
We have not told them yet. Can we start looking?
Yes, quietly, with Rishta Elite ($1,999 for 3 months). A matchmaker talks to you, learns what your family wants, and searches Rishta for you. Nothing about your son or daughter goes on the site, no profile and no photos, until they join and check their own ID. When there is someone worth meeting and they are on board, they join, and from there it works like any other profile.
Can I pay?
Yes, for a son. Payment is a bank transfer with his member reference, so you can make it for him. A daughter’s membership is free, with nothing withheld.
Can I see who they are introduced to?
No, and neither can we show you. A Family View link shows your own daughter or son’s profile, not the people writing to them. Anyone else’s profile and photos belong to that person, and are theirs to share with you or not.
Can I speak to the matchmaker myself?
With your daughter or son’s consent, yes. Matchmakers are used to talking to families and prefer it to guessing.
Is this only for Sikh or Punjabi families?
No. Rishta is for Indian families across Australia and New Zealand — Punjabi and Sikh are simply the largest groups, alongside Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Malayali, Marathi, Bengali, Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Fiji-Indian, Sri Lankan Tamil and Nepali members. You filter by community, language, diet and family origin. We are open across Australia and New Zealand.
